Gangjee misses cut in Nationwide tourney,Chopra 50th

Gangjee was all over in the second round and his back nine came in at eight-over 44.

Rahil Gangjee turned in a disappointing eight-over 80 in the second round and missed the cut in the Children’s Hospital Classic golf tournament here.

Gangjee,who began well with a first round 68,was all over in the second round and his back nine came in at eight-over 44.

Daniel Chopra added a 69 to his first round 70 and was lying 50th at the midway stage — an improvement on the overnight 69th.

Gangjee’s sole birdie of the day came on the eighth and then he had a bogey on the ninth.

There were bogeys on 11th,13th and 14th also and he finished with a double bogey on the 16th and a triple bogey on 18th.

The cut came at four-under and Gangjee was four-over.

John Mallinger shot a seven-under 65 and grabbed the 36-hole lead.

Mallinger’s 13-under 131 total is one better than Billy Hurley III,who kept pace with his own 65 and former champion Justin Bolli (67).
