Despite CA cold shoulder,Warner is in demand for T20 Big Bash

As per Big Bash rules,Warner,24,could play for any side in the six-week tournament,which starts in mid-December.

“I’m going to play it by ear. I’ll get a feel of where other players are going,” Warner was quoted as saying by the Daily Telegraph.

With a salary cap of USD 1 million for 18 player-teams,Warner may not earn a staggering USD 700,000 he was paid for representing Delhi Daredevils but nevetheless a six figure sum is assured.

Warner caught public imagination smashing 89 in just 43 balls,with seven fours and six sixes against South Africa two summers ago.

“It’s just the way I play. From there obviously,it set my career up. It gives you an opportunity to expose yourself in the same way this Big Bash competition will do to the younger guys coming through,” he said.

Despite being dubbed as a Twenty20 specialist,Warner wants to don a Baggy Green in near future.

“One of my main goals is to get a baggy green cap,” Warner said.
