Chennai Super Kings won what had become a must win game for them beating the Warriors by 10 runs at Port Elizabeth to qualify for the semis.

Despite their defeat,Warriors still made it to the semis because of a better run rate than Victoria.

Earlier,CSK could not make the most of a steady of 63 between Mike Hussey and Murali Vijay,failing to move up a gear as they could only manage a score of 136.

Hussey worked hard for his 50 off 39 balls,but it was Mahendra Dhoni who provided some impetus to the end of the innings scoring 17 runs off the penultimate over bowled by Tsotsobe.

Consolation win for Wayamba

Port Elizabeth: In a battle to avoid winning the wooden spoon,Isuru Udana claimed the first hat-trick of the Champions League as Wayamba trounced a Central Districts by 74 runs in their Champions League match at Port Elizabeth on Wednesday.

Wayamba turned the tide with a much improved batting performance,followed by an inspired spell of bowling by Udana.
