Tendulkars final Ranji game to be telecast live
Mumbai: The Board of Control for Cricket in India has requested Star Group,BCCIs TV rights holders,to telecast the Haryana vs Mumbai Ranji Trophy match beginning at Lahli,Rohtak,on Sunday which will also be Sachin Tendulkar final domestic game.
The game will be shown live and we have informed our TV right holders about it. The match is all the more important because it will be Tendulkars last Ranji outing, and we want his fans to see the last few games of the legend. A number of people follow the Ranji trophy closely, but with Tendulkar playing we are sure many more will tune in, a BCCI official said. The MCA selection committee had picked Tendulkar after he had wished to play the Ranji game as a preparation for two Test-series against the West Indies. Mumbai will be led by Zaheer Khan.
Anirudh Chaudhary, who is treasurer of the BCCI and also secretary of the Haryana Cricket Association, has already been flooded with requests for passes for the match. Lots of requests for the complimentaries for the Ranji game between Haryana and Mumbai! 1200 requests in 3 hours today! Some on twitter too. The match is likely to telecast as well, he wrote on Twitter [@AnirudhChaudhry.
