Beckham rejects Eriksson’s offer to play for Leicester

Beckham will be a free agent when his contract runs out in the US in November.

Former England boss Sven Goran Eriksson has said that star midfielder David Beckham had turned down an offer to play for Leicester because the city was not fit enough for his wife Victoria.

Eriksson, who now coaches Leicester City, tried to lure the LA Galaxy star to England last month.

The Daily Star reports that when he asked Beckham to consider a move back to England,Victoria told him: “Sven, can you really see me in Leicester?”
