Former England boss Sven Goran Eriksson has said that star midfielder David Beckham had turned down an offer to play for Leicester because the city was not fit enough for his wife Victoria. Eriksson, who now coaches Leicester City, tried to lure the LA Galaxy star to England last month. The Daily Star reports that when he asked Beckham to consider a move back to England,Victoria told him: Sven, can you really see me in Leicester? Eriksson revealed this while speaking on a talk for charity. One audience said: He did meet Beckham and his wife with a view to getting him to sign for Leicester. He said Posh just shot down the idea immediately. It is not the first time Victoria,37,has had a run-in with a football league club. Beckham will be a free agent when his contract runs out in the US in November. He has already been linked to Premier League sides Tottenham and Queens Park Rangers.
