WASHINGTON, May 24: Chairman of the US Governmental Affairs panel, Fred Thompson, who is heading the probe into whether the Chinese funded President Bill Clinton’s election campaign, has appealed to the President to postpone his forthcoming visit to Beijing.

Thompson, a Republican Senator, is investigating on any possible link between the campaign contributors and Clinton administration’s decision to allow use of Chinese rockets for space satellite launches. "The President made some decisions that benefited not only the Chinese, but some domestic companies," Thompson said.
