CHANDIGARH, Nov 17: The local units of the Congress and Samajwadi Janata Party have expressed grave concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in the City.
Congress spokesman Sunil Parti said that the unsolved murders and inadequate steps to check crime in the City had exposed the quot;inefficiencyquot; of the local police.
On the other hand, SJP president Devinder Singh Babla said that an immediate meeting of the Police Sadbhavna Committee should be held to discuss the prevalent law and order situation.
While Parti has demanded immediate action to check the rising crime, Babla has threatened to gherao the police stations.
