ISLAMABAD, JUNE 11: Kulsoom Sharif, wife of deposed prime minister Nawaz Sharif and leader of Pakistan Muslim League PML, has said her party was prepared to hold talks with the military government.
quot;We are ready for negotiations with the military rulers to explore the possibilities of country8217;s return to democracy in the larger national interest, quot; she said in an interview with NNI news agency on Saturday.
She said the military regime was damaging the country by being quot;vindictivequot; towards the Sharif family.
quot; But this revenge is only Gen Pervez Musharraf8217;s and not the army8217;s. quot;Army as an institution is not being revengeful and we respect it. Majority of people in the army understand this and they realise that only Nawaz Sharif can save the country, quot; she said.
