A Pentagon team on Tuesday gave a classified technical brief to the Defence Ministry on the Patriot-II anti-missile defence system as reports poured in of Pakistan vowing to move the US against the proposed sale.

The team, led by Edward Ross of the Defence Security Cooperation Agency, is in the Capital till February 24 by which time, it plans to brief the top brass of the three armed forces, DRDO and the internal security division of the MEA. New Delhi first made known its requirement for an anti-missile defence system about two years ago.
