For three years, he nourished a hope; having won the 2004 edition of Scorpio Speedster clocking 138 kmph and a subsequent stint in Australia, Parvinder Awana made a long awaited entry into first class cricket this season for Delhi after suspiciouly dabbling for a spot in Rajasthan team.

He didnt have a dream debut but neverthless achieved a feat that few can dream of. The medium pacer playing in his second Ranji Trophy match took a hat-trick to help Delhi take an outright victory. Maharashtra were comfortably placed with Yogesh Takawale and Vishal Bhilare adding 100-runs for the fifth wicket partnership and the encounter seemed to head towards a draw with scoreboard reading 202 for 4, a lead of 12. But Awana definietly had something else in his mind as with his acurate line and length and pace the pacer removed Bhilare, Kedar Jadhav and Sairaj Bahutule in three deliveries to change the game Delhi’s way.

And after this successful over the hosts scorecard read 202 for 7, and the last three wickets fell for 38 runs and Delhi requiring 51-runs for victory. Delhi lost three wickets while chasing the small target.
