AURANGABAD, September 28: The National and State executive bodies of the United RPI at its meeting on Sunday resolved that Prakash Ambedkar, who had boycotted the meeting, should recognise the National executive body declared by him on March 27 in Mumbai.

Oppn demand

IMPHAL: Manipur Leader of the Opposition R.K. Ranbir Singh said on Saturday that Centre should consider Governor O.N. Shrivastava’s report and impose President’s Rule in Manipur. The Governor, he claimed, had recommended this.Pilot contention GUWAHATI: Congress leader Rajesh Pilot regretted that governments of regional parties were unable to maintain law and order, and looked at the Centre for help, though the Constitution provides them enough autonomy. He was speaking at a Centre-State relations seminar here.

AP BJP’s charge

VIJAYAWADA: BJP general secretary M.Venkaiah Naidu has demanded an inquiry into the alleged misuse and diversion of Janmabhoomi funds by the Andhra Government. Contractors were benefitting from the programme, he alleged.

CPI on Punjab

JALANDHAR: CPI State secretary Joginder Dayal has said the Akali-BJP Government’s promise of a transparent administration was broken and even the Governor’s office had come under suspicion. An extra-constitutional centre of power had come into existence, he alleged.
