Hitting out at political parties which “extend support” to alleged terrorists and terror groups, the BJP has alleged that such parties have launched a “secular civil war” in the country.
“Certain parties and politicians indulged in supporting terrorism and terrorists, and they have become a part of the conspiracy to divide the nation once again on the basis of religion,” senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said in a statement.
“To meet their political vested interests, these parties were trying to provide secularism as a security cover to terrorism and covert it into secular civil war,” Naqvi, in his statement, said.
Such acts have become a great threat to the nation and created a feeling of insecurity in the minds of ordinary Muslims, the national vice-president of the party claimed.
He also alleged that the “dangerous designs” of Congress, SP, Left and other “pseudo-secular parties” are meant to harm Muslims by depriving them of their true nationalist nature.
According to the saffron party leader, irresponsible acts and statements made by leaders of “pseudo-secular parties” would help those forces which were indulging in senseless violence under the guise of Islam.
Terming them as equally dangerous as dreaded terrorists, he said, “The parties and the politicians supporting terrorists should be treated as enemies of national unity and social harmony.”
