ICC president Percy Sonn said today that he has received assurances from the PCB that the rest of Pakistan’s England tour—Monday’s Twenty20 match and the 5-match one-day series—will go ahead as planned.

With the hearing into the original charges of ball-tampering and bringing the game in disrepute against Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq scheduled in the second half of September, Sonn said, “The PCB have always said they were going to continue with the series if they could have. I have had a meeting with PCB chairman Shahriyar Khan and ECB chairman David Morgan and I have been assured the tour continues as scheduled.”
