Orissa polls — BJD women’s wing seeks 20 seats

BHUBANESWAR, JANUARY 9: The Biju Mahila Janata Dal (BMJD), women’s wing of BJD, on Sunday demanded that the party should provide tickets to at least 20 women to contest the February Assembly elections in Orissa.

A resolution to this effect was adopted at the meeting of the BMJD’s state executive committee held here earlier in the day, its president Kamala Das told newsmen after the deliberations.
