Abandoned lunch box creates panic in the city

Panic spread for the second consecutive day today about suspected bombs in the city. While yesterday there was a hoax call that some miscreants were going to blow up a train at the city railway station, an abandoned tiffin box

created terror on the Gill Road today.

Some shopkeepers spotted a tiffin box lying on the road divider on the Gill Road this afternoon. This created panic among the shopkeepers and they informed the police. A police party led by SHO Surinder Mohan from Division Number 2 police station reached the spot. An anti-sabotage team of the police was also summoned to defuse the bomb, if any.
