MUMBAI, April 10: Joe Maria Olazabal won the Masters five years ago. Since then he has yet to win a Major. But a six-under 66 round on Friday in the second round of the Augusta Master put him in the lead at the par-72 Augusta National Golf Course according to information reaching here.

Considering that he has finished below 14th position only once in 1989 Olazabal’s surge after a level par 70 is no surprise. Following him by a stroke was Scott Stuart McCarron.

Greg Norman closed in on the leader with a four-under card in the second round to stay at a total of 139 alongwith US Open champion Lee Janzen. South African Ernie Els spoilt his day with a double bogey on the staright 17th to finish two-over for the day.
