JUNAGADH, Aug 19: Bogus billing worth Rs 92 lakh has been unearthed on Wednesday by Junagadh district supply department following a raid on Gita Oil Industries at Bilkha town some 15 kms from Junagadh. The team was led by district supply official B M Virani and supply inspector.

It was found that nine tankers carrying edible oil worth Rs 92 lakh were allowed to go through bogus billing. Gita Industries partner Rajnikant Vrijlal Buha was found guilty in this scam. DSO Virani immediately initiated action against him under the Prevention of Black Marketing (PBM) Act while district collector Pankaj Joshi had issued PASA warrant against Rajnikant who was arrested on Wednesday and sent to Vadodara jail.

District supply official B M Virani said that a tanker full of ground nut oil was caught at Songadh check post in Surat district. Following this, further investigation was carried out and it was found that the tanker was send from Gita Oil Industries at Bilkha town in Junagadh district.

It was found that accused Rajnikant had issued three different bills of the same material. One bill was in the name of Krishna Brothers, Surat while the other two were in favour of Sona Oil Mill, Mumbai.
