Nothing can stop Hindus from going on pilgrimage anywhere in India: Togadia

Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Praveen Togadia on Sunday charged Jammu-Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffar Hussain Beig with using “constitutional garb to initiate jehad against the Hindus by his remarks on Shri Amarnath Shrine Board”. He said no force on earth can stop Hindus from going on pilgrimage to any part of India, including Jammu-Kashmir, an integral part of the country. He warned of serious consequences and threatened a nationwide agitation if the land transfer was cancelled.

Responding to a complaint filed by the PDP against SASB CEO Arun Kumar, the state unit of the BJP has said that it would lodge an FIR against Beig for inciting communal passions by making an “outrageous” statement.

The party also asserted that the people of Jammu will observe a complete bandh and also call for economic blockade if the PDP and separatists gave a bandh call against SASB or if they disrupted the ongoing Amarnath yatra.

State BJP president Ashok Khajuria, while referring to the case against Arun Kumar, said, “He has committed no crime by asking how four lakh yatris could cause pollution in Kashmir when Kashmir houses a population of 50 lakh.”
