Admitting that Nandigram project was a mistake, both politically and administratively, West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee said there would be no roll-back on the small car project at Singur.

Opposition succeeded in misleading people on setting up of a chemical hub at Nandigram and due to massive protest, the government has now zeroed in on a barren island of Nayachar for construction of the hub, he said.

Speaking at the national executive meet of FICCI, the Chief Minister said the Geological Survey of India, which has been assigned to conduct a survey on the area, would determine if the chemical hub could be set up there.
