No place for Dravid, India retain same team

Dravid will continue to remain on the sidelines with selectors deciding to retain same 15-member squad for final ODI against Pak.

Rahul Dravid will continue to remain on the sidelines with the national selectors on Thursday deciding to retain the same 15-member Indian squad for the fifth and final cricket ODI against Pakistan in Jaipur on Sunday.

Dravid was dropped from the squad for the first two matches against Pakistan after his insipid show in the home series against Australia.

He found himself out of favour again when the team for the third and fourth ODIs were picked, leaving him with the Jaipur match as his last hope for a comeback in the ongoing series.

But with the selectors ignoring him for the third time, Dravid — who looked in good nick and hit another ton in the ongoing match against Himachal Pradesh in Bangalore on Thursday — thus ended up missing the entire series against Pakistan.

India Squad for Jaipur ODI: M S Dhoni (captain), Yuvraj Singh (vice-captain), Sourav Ganguly, SachinTendulkar, Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag, Robin Uthappa, Irfan Pathan, R P Singh, Rohit Sharma, Murali Kartik, Zaheer Khan, S Sreesanth, Harbhajan Singh and Praveen Kumar.
