New Delhi, August 8:

Seeking to change her image from ‘dalit ki beti’ to ‘Hindustan ki beti’, BSP leader and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati has said no force can stop her from becoming the Prime Minister if ‘sarv samaj’ votes for her.

Mayawati, who has lately emerged as the Prime Ministerial face of the UNPA, said a “movement has begun” that will take her to the top post and her aspiration would be fulfilled.

“If I can become the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, then I think one day the dreams of our people will surely come true,” she said.

“No force can stop me from becoming the Prime Minister if sarv samaj (all castes) vote for me,” said Mayawati, who earlier focussed on Dalits but undertook social engineering in 2005 to emerge victorious in UP polls.

To expand her vote base in the state, she tried to include the Brahmins in her political equation which fetched her good results.

When pointed out that she was a ‘Dalit’s daughter’ who was aspiring to be the Prime Minister, Mayawati said “apart from being a Dalit’s daughter, I am also the daughter of India. I have worked not just for Dalits but for all sections of society. I am born in India, so I am not just a ‘Dalit ki beti’, but also ‘Hindustan ki beti’.”
