IMPHAL, FEB 17: Nisha Millet of Karnataka added three more gold to her kitty of two to head the list of individual performers with five gold as Karnataka ruled the roost in the swimming pool at the Khuman Lampak Pool here today.While Karnataka women scooped away all the three gold on offer today, the Kerala men claimed gold in the two events held during the day.Nisha claimed gold in the 200m butterfly, 100m backstroke and 4x100m freestyle relay to leave her mark in all the women's event.K Sureshkumar (Kerala) took the gold in the men's 200m butterfly while compatriot Sebastian Xavier bagged gold in 100m backstroke.In the first event of the day, the 200m butterfly, Nisha ruled the roost recording 2:39.00 sec to strike gold. Her compatriot Chitra K took the silver with a timing of 2:43.02 sec while Madhurika Ghadge of Maharashtra picked up the bronze clocking 2:43.68 sec.Nisha's second gold of the day came from the 100m back stroke which she claimed with a timing of 1:12.93 sec. The silver went to Kerala's Sumy Cyriac (1:14.82 sec) and the bronze to Bengal's Divya Chadha (1:15.96 sec).Nisha became the first athlete of the meet to collect five gold.The Karnataka quartet, represented by Amrita Shetty, Chitra K, Reshma and Nisha, clocked 9:48.53 to beat Kerala to the gold. Kerala finished the race in 10:02.61 sec. Maharashtra, represented by Pooja Nair, Madhurika Ghadgae, Shiyan Shu and Avani Sawant, managed bronze with a timing of 10:30.18 sec.
