MUMBAI, Nov 21: Village Amboli B registered a narrow 2-1 win over Brothers Sports Club in a Punjab National Bank-sponsored Bombay Hockey Association league match at the Khalsa College grounds today.

Bosco Pereira slammed in the opener in the 17th minute while three minutes before the break, Carlos Barretto’s deflection sent Amboli into a 2-0 lead.Rudolf Rosario restored parity for Brothers in the dying minutes of the game.

Three qualify
RAJIV Maliwal, Nawalbir Kumar in the 35-45 age category, and Kiranbir Nag in the 25-35 age category, qualified for the Champions Trophy on the first day of the Great Eastern Developers Corporate squash tournament at CCI today.
