Where have the noodle straps gone?
I don’t know and I hope they’re never found. For the latest edition of Extraa Innings, I have one sari blouse with noodle straps but I probably won’t wear it.

So what will be your signature style?
Stuff I haven’t worn before. Now I’ll wear only those clothes that suit me. The style will be prettier.

You recently declared Irfan Pathan is your favourite cricketer.
Actually, Rahul Dravid is my favourite. When I say I like Irfan it’s because I think he has what it takes to become the next Kapil Dev. Another reason is he’s the only cricketer in the side I haven’t met.

What about those rumours linking you with Yuvraj Singh?
I am so bored of this. He’s one of the first people I got to know in the side. We’ve gone out together and my husband, Raj Kaushal, has always accompanied us. Just because Yuvi and me are recognised faces, people make a huge deal.

Sourav Ganguly is apparently a fan of yours.
I don’t think so. I’ve interacted with him off and on and he’s been most cordial. But if he is, then yippee!

Do you think Team India is a bunch of chokers?
We’ve had a bad couple of tournaments. But on the whole, I think our team is more aggressive and in the winning habit. Our batting depth goes down till number seven and we’ve also won matches without Sachin Tendulkar. I think the team is looking good and solid. But after the Indo-Pak series, we have lost the plot a bit. We just need to consolidate and return to a winning frame of mind.

What is the best part of your job?
Travelling, but it’s also the worst part. I travel for about 15 days a month. My husband has been complaining a lot, but he knows I am in a fortunate position.

Do people talk shop when you’re at a party?
They want to talk cricket with me even when I am walking on the street. Most tell me, “Kya madam, aap unko jeeta nahin sakte the (What, madam, couldn’t you make the team win?)”

What is new on the acting front?
I have Divorce with Jackie Shroff. I haven’t been able to accept assignments because I haven’t been around. In fact, I should take up a permanent job with the team.

Any offers for an item number?
Surprisingly, no; but if I do, then I will surely do it. I think I’ll like that.
