MUMBAI, June 20: The Maharashtra State Hindi Sahitya Academy has extended the date for submitting literary works to the selection panel which is in charge of the `1997 Literature Awards’ to July 15.

They should be sent to Dr Keshav Phalke, member-secretary, Maharashtra State Sahitya Academy, Old Custom House, 2nd floor, Shahid Bhagatsingh Marg, Mumbai.

Career counsel

The International Academy of Education will be conducting a series of talks on non-academic careers for HSC and SSC students from June 20 at Colaba, Mahim and Vile Parle. Interested persons may call up 2853081 or 2830728 between 12-2 pm on any working day for further details.

Scholarships

Acharya Vijayvallabhsuriswarji Janmashatabdi Shikshan Trust has decided to award scholarships to deserving Swetamber Murtipujak Jain students studying in professional courses.

Applications forms are available in Hindi, Gujarati and English and may be obtained from Shri Mahavira Jain Vidyalaya, August Kranti Maidan, Mumbai on or before July 30.
