The International Academy of Education (a government-registered charitable trust) will be arranging a career exhibition on August 23 and 24 at Vile Parle.

The exhibition will cover information on creative careers such as commercial art, and calligraphy. The venue for the exhibition is RBCS exhibition hall, near Bank of Baroda and Sarla Sarjan High School, Vile Parle (West). The exhibition, open between 9 am and 7 pm, is aimed at students wishing to pursue vocational careers.

First Aid Centre

A First Aid Centre sponsored by Sulabh International Social Service Organisation was inaugurated on Saturday by the secretary to the Governor of Maharashtra, Satish Tripathi (IAS) at Poddar Chowk, Malabar Hill. A Sulabh toilet complex was also inaugurated on the occasion and a tree plantation drive undertaken. Chairman of the organisation, Chandra Mohan, said many such programmes have been undertaken by Sulabh.

Seminar

A seminar on `The Common Cultural Ethos of the Oriental World’ is being organised by the Vishwa Adhyayan Kendra (Centre for International Studies) at Ramnarain Ruia College on August 20. The chief guest on the occasion will be Dr Vijay Bedekar and the individual papers will be followed up with a question-answer session. The final session will be an open house for free exchange of ideas. Those interested can contact on Tel: 6110105, 8322687 and 4136966.
