
PTA, Ajmera management hold talks
A joint meeting of representatives of the Parent Teachers8217; Association PTA and trustees of S S Ajmera High School, Yogi Nagar, Borivli, was held on April 2 to discuss the frequent closure notices issued by the school management to teachers. According to Sudhir Shah, PTA president, it was decided at the meeting that fresh admissions will commence at the earliest and that permanent educational facilities will be provided by the management in the locality. It was also decided to form a committee comprising representatives of the PTA and the management to avoid any problems due to a communication gap, Shah said. The parents have agreed to cooperate with any justified8217; fee hike necessary to run the school on a no-profit, no-loss basis, added Shah. A press release issued by the PTA also stated that both the parties agreed to take any decision with long-term repercussions only after taking the other side into confidence.
The meeting was also attended by local MLAHemendra Mehta and corporator Vinod Ghedia.
The PTA has also appealed to parents to seek admissions for their wards without any sense of insecurity.
Summer camps at Matunga
The Matunga Gujarati Seva Mandal has organised a summer camps from April 19 to May 2 between 10 am to 6 pm at the Shree Matunga Gujarati Seva Mandal. The camp is open to students between eight and 18 years. The camp activities include Yoga, aerobics, ketsugo, skating, acupressure, public speaking, personality development, dramatics and calligraphy.
