UP Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav, who filed his nomination papers today from Bhartana Assembly constituency in Etawah district, has declared that he does not own a car but has furniture worth nearly Rs 6 lakh in his name. Facing a CBI inquiry after a petitioner in the Supreme Court alleged that the CM and his family had acquired assets disproportionate to known sources of income, Mulayam Singh, in an affidavit filed with his nomination papers, has said that he owns a 5,000 sq ft plot and a house worth Rs 33 lakh in Etawah.
