.

Joining the chorus for a structured agenda for the Prime Minister’s next roundtable on Kashmir be held here on May 25, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed today said that the roundtable conference should propose a roadmap to guide the future course of action on Kashmir.

‘‘The roundtable of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh should not be just meeting, talking and dispersing. It should be result-oriented and come out with a roadmap to be followed,’’ he told reporters at a press conference here today.

Sayeed, who had taken part in the first roundtable held in New Delhi, said that if the next edition did not outline a future course of action, the people of the state would be disappointed.

He said that the general council of his People’s Democratic Party (PDP) would meet on May 10 and May 11 to discuss the suggestions to be made and agenda to be raised by the party during the May 25 conference.

On the Hurriyat moderates’ reluctance in participating in the roundtable alongside mainstream political parties, Sayeed said, ‘‘They have met Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf three or four times and should not hesitate in meeting Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.’’
