November 17: Residents took out a morchaa to the P South Ward municipal office to demand the shifting of the Chincholi Bunder garbage dumping ground near Bhangurnagar in Goregaon (West). Bangurnagar Jagruti Mandal’s secretary N R Panikkar told Express Newsline that foul stench emanating from the dump had posed danger to the health of many persons living nearby.“There is a sharp rise in respiratory problems of residents here. Even doctors of this area are of the view that the dumping ground should be shifted.” said Panikkar.
