PATNA, DECEMBER 14: A court on Tuesday rejected bail plea of former Bihar Minister and RJD MLA Iliyas Hussain and extended his judicial remand for ten days in connection with a conspiracy angle case of the multi-crore bitumen scam.
The designated CBI Judge, S K Sharma, turned down Hussain8217;s plea for bail after hearing the counsel of both CBI and the petitioner.
Hussain was arrested last month after CBI raided his residence when he was Minister for Road Construction.
The case relates to misappropriation of bitumen worth lakh of rupees allegedly by State road construction department officials in collusion with suppliers.
