India set up a new record of most extras in a World Cup match by conceding 51 extras in Zimbabwe8217;s innings. Pakistan, who conceded 42 extras to New Zealand at Christchurch, held the previous record.
As many as 90 extras were conceded, 51 by India and 39 by Zimbabwe, in the match which is a new record of most extras in a World Cup match. The previous record was of 61 extras in the Pakistan 29 and Sri Lanka 32 match at Perth in 1992 World Cup.
