While cities like Dubai and Bangkok are famous for it, the concept of night bazaar is a relatively new onein Kolkata. In 2007, Stylefile, the annual fashion exhibition organised by Preeti Goenka and Sumedha Sarogi , introduced this concept to Kolkata. This year they took it a step further. 8220;Things are bigger this time and there are more designers and painters participating in the event,8221; said Goenka. The quaint old bunglow at the residential area of Alipore was abuzz last Friday with designers and fashion conscious Kolkatans who trooped in to check out the latest collection of their favourite designers. While Prashant Varma showcased a collection which focused primarily on high-end evening wear Chennai-based Vivek Karunakaran8217;s cocktail collection was all about feminine fabrics and basic colours. Designers like Amita Gupta, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Shantanu Goenka, Kiran Uttam Ghosh, Anamika Khanna and Vivek Narang also participated.
