VADODARA, MARCH 5: In one deadly over off-spinner Kailash Chandar of Punjab tore apart the middle order of Vadodara, sending them reeling at 77 for 6, before the ever-reliable Jacob Martin salvaged enough from the wreckage to give some hope of avoiding a follow-on in the Group A Ranji Super League match at the IPCL ground here on Friday.

Replying to Punjab’s 372, Vadodara in the first innings were 146 for 6 at the end of the day, still 77 runs short of avoiding a follow-on.

But with Martin at the crease on 69 and Darshan Mulherkar supporting him at the other end, all is still not lost for the hosts.
