MARCH 13: B Marandi (Tisco) and Kalamalini M (Titan) won the individual championships in the Tata Sports Club Annual Athletic meet at the university Sports Pavilion on Sunday.

Marandi won three individual gold medals while Kalamalini pocketed four.

St Xavier’s, Century enter final

ST XAVIER’S Sports Club and Century Rayon recorded contrasting victories to enter the final of the Don Bosco Youth Centre-organsied 1st veterans’ football tournament. In the semi-finals played at the St Joseph’s Technical ground (Kurla) on Sunday, St Xavier’s edged past RCF 6-4, via tie-breaker. The teams were locked 1-1 after full-time. Century Rayons prevailed over CAS Rose (Sewri) by a brace of goals.

MDFA affiliation

All the clubs affiliated to the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) can collect their affiliation, entry and registration forms from Cooperage or St Xavier’s Ground (Parel) between 5 and 6 p.m. The clubs should submit the forms at the same venues on or before the date mentioned in the MDFA circular dated March 1.
