CHANDIGARH, January 20: The May 1993 accident case against a District Mandi resident has culminated with the UT Judicial Magistrate (Ist Class), K.C. Garg, convicting and releasing the accused on probation.The magistrate, while releasing Ranjit Singh on three months probation, directed him pay Rs 1,000 as costs of proceedings. He also directed the accused to furnish personal and surety bonds of Rs 10,000 each.Ranjit Singh was earlier booked by the Chandigarh Police after the Maruti car he was driving banged into 65-yr-old Ajit Singh, fracturing his right leg.
