BANGALORE, June 9: Defending chapions Andhra Pradesh will take on Punjab men for the title in the Volleyball event of the fourth National Games at the Indoor Stadium on Tuesday. In the women, Kerala and Tamil Nadu have set up a meeting in the final.

Punjab had to work hard before subduing hosts Karnataka 12-15, 15-13, 14-16, 15-6, 15-9 in a 160-minute encounter.

In the other semi-final, Andhra overcame initial hiccups and made the grade at the expense of Services whom they beat 15-4, 7-15, 15-13, 15-8.In the women’s semi-finals this morning, Tamil Nadu survived some anxious moments before defeating a fighting Maharashtra 15-7, 8-15, 15-12, 15-2.In the other match, formidable Kerala routed West Bengal in under an hour, 15-6, 15-6, 15-7.
