
LONDON, May 17: All-rounder Chris Lewis, out of favour with the England selectors since turning up late for a Test match two years ago, has been included in the 14-man squad for the One-Day series against South Africa.Lewis has had an uneasy relationship with the England hierarchy during an international career which has brought him 30 Test caps and 51 One-Day appearances.
But David Graveney said today, when he became chairman of selectors he was determined that 8220;everyone would start with a clean slate.8221;
Lewis8217;s Leicestershire team-mate Darren Maddy and Sussex8217;s new captain Chris Adams, both batsmen, are the only new faces in the squad.
The first game of the three-match series is at the Oval in London on Thursday with the second and third games to be played at Old Trafford and Headingley on Saturday and Sunday.
