The first Lahore-Amritsar bus returned on Saturday. The 15 Pakistani officials on board promised a visa counter in Lahore.
“The Pakistan government is trying to set up a visa centre in Lahore as its residents otherwise have to travel hundreds of kilometres to Islamabad for visas,” said Pakistan Ministry of Communication Joint Secretary Firdosh Alam.
Due to return later is Pakistani singer Reshma, who had enchanted the crowd waiting to receive the bus yesterday with her famous Chaar Dino Ki Lambi Judaai number.
Meanwhile, the Lahore-Delhi bus met with a minor accident after colliding with an army truck on the GT Road on Saturday at around 2 pm on the G T road. No one was injured in the accident. —PTI
