KHARAR, MAY 18: The Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) has refunded the money spent on buying three tickets of the Pepsi Cup one-dayer between India and Pakistan played at the PCA Cricket Stadium, S.A.S. Nagar, on April 1, to Kharar resident Nitin Jain, who was not allowed entry into the stadium despite possessing valid tickets. It has also regretted the inconvenience caused to Jain.

Talking to mediapersons, Jain said he received a letter from PCA in which the refund of tickets was offered, and he surrendered the tickets for the money.

Jain had urged the PCA to refund him the money spent on buying the tickets as he was not allowed entry into the stadium despite possessing valid tickets. In a letter to PCA president I.S. Bindra, he said he and his two cousin brothers were not allowed to enter the stadium by police personnel deployed outside gate numbers 6,7,9 and 10.
