CHANDIGARH, May 26: Two students of Tagore Baal Niketan Senior Secondary School, Karnal, have been invited by the International Space School Foundation, Houston, Texas, to visit the US and have space experience at the Houston Space Centre at the expence of the foundation.According to V. Raheja, director of the school, the invitation was received at the instance of Kalpana Chawla the first Indian astronaut, who studied at the Karnal school. Every year, two Indian students would have the privilege to visit Houston.This year Kamlika Chandala and Sanchari Bose, studying in XI have been selected. While Chandala is a creative writer, Bose is an outstanding student of science who topped the class throughout.The International Space School Foundation will be sponsoring visits of 24 such outstanding students from over 12 countries to pariticipate in 1998 session beginning on July 27 to end on August 7. The students will take part in a number of exercises and simulations pertaining to space flight.
