NEW DELHI, February 23: An eight-member Indian team will participate in the third Euro-Asia traditional karate tournament to be held in Tanvald, Czech Republic, from March 19-21.

The team consists of Jitesh Kumar, Chandraprakash, Vizzy Singh and Rahul Kumar (all Bihar), Durjay Singh (Maharashtra) and Robin Rohang (Assam) in the individual and team kumite matches.

Mahade Das of IFCI will be the chief of the delegate while Srethnam of Tamil Nadu will be the team manager. From this year on all the group matches, eliminations, quarter-finals, semifinals and finals would be held at the same place, the release added.

Tennis coaching course: The All-India Tennis Association will be conducting Indian Level 1 Coaches course and Level 1 Tutors Workshop at Mumbai from March 1 to 3.

The clinic will be conducted by ITF experst Miguel Crespo and Suresh menon. DLTA has sponsored five coaches/assistant coaches for the workshop — Narsingh, Arun Kumar, Vijay Prakash, Gajraj Singh, Kulwant Singh and Anil Kumar. Vinod Kumar and Gajendra Singh will be the co-ordinators of the workshop.

Billiards room: Junior National snooker and billiards champion Manan Chandra inaugurated a billiards hall for young kids at Brooklyn School, Noida. Two Mini tables have been installed for the young kids.
