NEW DELHI, DEC 15: Former up chief minister Kalyan Singh gave his attack on Prime Minister A B Vajpayee a new twist today. He said Vajpayee was conspiring for L K Advani's expulsion from the party.Vajpayee, he said, tried to weaken Advani by using his confidants but since Advani was bound by party discipline, he could not speak. ``The truth is that Vajpayee has reached where he is today because of Advani's two rathyatras and my hard work in UP,'' he said.``Vajpayee has hijacked the party. Advani has been and continues to be my inspiration. Vajpayee loves power while Advani has respect only for principles and is suffocating in the party. Advani too is likely to be expelled from the BJP the same way as I was,'' Kalyan told a group of journalists today. He came to the Capital today to hold consultations with his ``followers'' and the Election Commission before formally launching his new party, which would be based on ``broader Hindutva.'' ``It won't follow the strident and narrow Hindutva of the RSS-VHPcombine, which preaches caste and communal hatred. My party would follow the Hindutva which promotes caste and communal harmony. Sarvdharma sambhav,'' said Kalyan. The expelled BJP leader wants to keep open his option of having some kind of electoral adjustment with secular parties like the Samajwadi Party. But how did he conform to the RSS-brand of Hindutva for such a long time? ``I used to protest but only on party fora since I was bound by discipline. Now I am a free bird and will reveal all the inside stories. People like Ashok Singhal should be ready to reply,'' he said.Like his former mentor Advani, Kalyan will take out a rathyatra next month to popularise his party. Before that, he would address a series of rallies in UP, the first one being at Azamgarh on December 20.However, Kalyan does not seem to enjoy support of many MLAs and MPs. ``I have yet not contacted any of them. In any case they don't matter to me as several MLAs can't produce a mass agitation while a single mass movementproduces hundreds of MLAs,'' he said.No BJP leader in Delhi called on Kalyan today. Former Delhi Chief Minister Madan Lal Khurana whom Kalyan wanted to meet, too avoided him. ``His family members say Khuranaji is not available. He is simply avoiding me,'' Kalyan said. But why does he want to meet Khurana? Kalyan said Khurana had met him on September 19 claiming that he was carrying the message of both RSS chief Rajju Bhaiyya and Vajpayee that he won't be removed from the chief minister's post. ``I just wanted to ask whether the message was genuine and if it was, what happened to the promise,'' Kalyan said.Advani refuses to bite Kalyan baitNEW DELHI: Union Home Minister L K Advani tonight declined to comment on remarks made by expelled BJP leader Kalyan Singh about him (Advani) saying "that chapter is closed.""He (Kalyan Singh) is no longer a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party and that chapter is closed," Advani said.
