Joshi flays Sonia, courts arrest

Senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi on Thursday charged Congress chief Sonia Gandhi with being responsible for 8216;8216;foisting false and fabricated8217;8217; cases against Uma Bharati, as he courted arrest along with 2,000 supporters on the second day of the party8217;s 8216;8216;satyagraha8217;8217; here.

Joshi demanded that the former Madhya Pradesh CM be released 8216;8216;unconditionally8217;8217; and flayed the 8216;8216;dual stand8217;8217; adopted by Congress leaders, including Karnataka Chief Minister N. Dharam Singh, on the issue of withdrawal of cases against Bharati.

Leaders from Madhya Pradesh, MPs and legislators from Bihar and J-K participated in the 8216;8216;satyagraha8217;8217; and courted arrest. Joshi was taken away by police after he addressed the gathering at the Town Hall junction.
