October 20: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Laloo Prasad Yadav on Sunday said the new Jharkhand state would soon merge with Bihar as it was not ``economically and politically-viable''. ``Jharkhand will not prove to be economically-viable and will have to depend upon the Centre,'' he told reporters in Patna. He favoured creation of a `Greater Jharkhand', including tribal areas of Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal. Accusing the ``left and right extremist groups'' responsible for the recent killings in Bihar, the Lalloo said the state government's top priority was improving law and order situation.
