CHENNAI, NOV 15: The crisis in the Janata Dal's Karnataka unit appears to have diffused after the Janata Dal Legislature Party (JDLP) passed a resolution authorising the its national president, Sharad Yadav, to resolve the problems in the party's state unit, Karnataka's Deputy Chief Minister, S Siddaramaiah said.In an informal chat with newsmen here today, he said the existing differences would be ``taken care of'' by the party president.Siddaramaiah was here to participate in the Karnataka Rajyotsava celebrations organised by Karnataka Rajyotsava Samiti, Chennai.Asked whether the issue of change in the chief ministership of the State was still alive or has been sorted out, the deputy chief minister said: ``whether it has been solved or not, I can't say. It's for the national president to take the final decision. ``Sharad Yadav would be in Bangalore after November 25 to sort out matters,'' he said.Asked whether such frequent bickerings would not affect the party's prospects in the next assemblyelections, Siddaramaiah said ``in any political party which believes in internal democracy, this type of problems are bound to arise.''Admitting that differences existed in the Karnataka unit, he said ``the Janata Dal in Karnataka is having internal democracy, and it is natural that differences crop up now and then. They will have to be sorted out.''When asked what was the majority feeling of the legislators with regard to the main demand for change of leadership, he shot back: ``How can I say?''.
