PATIALA, May 13: A fine knock of 72 in 40 balls by Jatinder with the help of three sixes and eight boundries help MES Coaching Centre, Patiala beat Coaching Centre, Khanna on better run rate in the first Hot Weather Cricket Tournament, being organised by MES, Patiala at MES Sports Complex here today.
Rajiv Sharma, who opened the innings with Sachin, hammered 62 runs for first wicket. Rajiv after making 44 runs was bowled by Rickey Verma. The fourth wicket partnership between Jatinder and Jagrup Singh yielded 70 runs. MES CC piled up 212 for 6 in 20 overs.
Due to heavy storm, the match was closed and Coaching Centre Khanna were struggling at 114 in 15 overs. MES CC were 168 for four in 15 overs. and were declared winners on better run rate.
The man of the match award was given to Jatinder.
