CHANDIGARH, May 23: Akal Takht Jathedar Bhai Ranjit Singh today directed senior Congress leader Amrinder Singh to submit the negatives of the pictures of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee chief Gurcharan Singh Tohra with the Nirankaris.

The pictures were submitted to him in Amritsar last evening by an emissary of Amrinder Singh as evidence against Tohra, giving a new turn to the controversy regarding his meeting with the Nirankaris in Patiala last February during the Lok Sabha elections.

One of the photographs which was today released here to the reporters by Amrinder Singh shows Tohra with a siropa (robe of honour) in the company of Nirankari leaders. The supporters of the SGPC chief have described the photograph as fake.

According to the report from Amritsar, Bhai Ranjit Singh, has directed Amrinder Singh to submit the original negatives of the photographs.

Amrinder Singh had complained to the Akal Takht Jathedar earlier that the SGPC chief had violated the Hukamnama directing the Sikhsagainst interacting with the Nirankaris.
