Jaitly accepted Rs 2 lakh from us: Tehelka

A day after it removed former Samata chief Jaya Jaitly’s name from the list of money recipients, Tehelka today said Rs 2 lakh ‘‘was accepted by Jaitly and Gopal Pachirwal, head of Rajasthan unit, had only taken custody of the money on her instruction.’’

Investigation editor of the portal Anirudh Bahal, in his affidavit before the Venkatswami Commission, said the tapes show that ‘‘When Samuel Mathew, our reporter, handed over the money, Jaitly said, ‘Gopalji, yeh aap rakh leejiye….’’’
