Punjab, UT staff hold rally
The Joint Action Committee of Punjab and UT Employees today organised a rally to press for their demands. The call for rally was given at the November 18 rally in Adampur. The protestors have given a call for rally on November 30, said Action committee chairman Sajjan Singh.
Powermen organise protest
A protest rally was organised by UT Powermen union before the office of Electricity Operation sub-division No 3 in Sector 18. The rally was held to mobilise employees for a strike on December 11, said a Union statement.
AIDS rally flagged off
An AIDS awareness rally, in which about 200 NSS volunteers participated, was flagged off today from Government College for Men, Sector 11, by S N Singla, principal of the college. The rally passed through GCG, Sector-11, petrol pump, Sector 15-B, 15-A and through Sector 15-D market reached Kumhar Colony. The procession after passing through Panjab University and PGI culminated on the college campus.
